WORLD TB DAY was marked with pomp and colour in Wajir, Garissa and Mandera districts in northern kenya. The World TB day activities this year brought various stakeholders like women groups, youth group,PLWHA, TB patients, Government officials ,medics and pastoralist herders.

They received education on treatment, transmission and prevention of TB and importance of going for testing, taking drugs accordingly and without fail. They were educated on danger of stigma toward the TB patients and residents of Mandera were taught on how TB education and campaigns has changed the attitude of communities in Wajir and Garissa on TB patients.

They also received education on increased cases of MDR TB in the region and they were educated on how to seek treatment at hospital and signs of MDR TB.
